Consider touring the USS IOWA which will be in the Port of Los Angeles not far from Ports of Call. The ship should be open for tours as of July 4, 2012. Go to this link to get details. It is due to arrive in port in March of 2012. It will serve the area as a "floating museum."

International Jet Ski Boat Association Offshore National Championship
Long Beach hosts the International Jet Ski Boat Association (IJSBA) Offshore National Championships. This 57-mile, round-trip race will test the limits of the racer and his or her craft. Over 50 of the best PWC racers from around the world descend upon Long Beach in search of a championship and bragging rights. This RPM Racing event is open to all jet ski enthusiasts, and is sponsored by Sea Doo, Hot Products, Optima Racing, Bomber Eyewear, Hydro-Turf, and Kia Dealers of Orange County. Jessica Uniack Memorial Beach to Bay Race
Close to 200 young sailors ranging in age from 6-14 venture into the choppy waters of Long Beach Harbor in the annual Jessica Uniack Memorial Beach to Bay Race co-hosted by Long Beach Yacht Club and Alamitos Bay Yacht Club and part of the City of Long Beach Sea Festival. This is the only junior sailing event of the year where the eight-foot-long Sabots ever venture out on the ocean on a five mile course from the east end of Shoreline Marina to Alamitos Bay.


Long Beach Crawfish Festival
The Crawfish Festival has become a Long Beach tradition to over thousands of festival-goers annually.
